One more segment of the Gajaba Regiment multi-religious ceremonies to mark the 40th anniversary programmes, the special Christian Mass, held at St. Joseph's Cathedral, Anuradhapura at late hours on Wednesday (4) to invoke divine blessings for the forward-march of the Gajaba Regiment.
Rev. Father Faris Jayamaha afterwards delivered introductory comments, highlighting the importance of the commemoration of the anniversary and inviting everyone to join the Blessing then symbolically invoked blessings on Regimental Flag and the Unit Flags.
Around the same time, the Holy Service prayed for the souls of all fallen War Heroes in the battlefields and elsewhere while simultaneously wishing speedy recovery to all injured Army personnel, still under rehabilitation and recuperation, those who are serving as well as members of the Ketterian families. Centre Commandant Brigadier Wishwajith Vidyananda RWP RSP USP, Deputy Commandant, Staff Officers of Regimental Centre and a gathering of Other Ranks attended the ceremony.
