The Inter Battalion Novices Practical Rifle Meet - 2017 was held on Sunday (25) evening at the Firing Range, Gajaba Regiment Centre, Saliyapura. 22 novice teams competed for the trophy including 22 x 137 shooters.
Brigadier JMUD Jayasinghe (Commander - 212 Brigade) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The winners were given away the Championship Trophy by the Chief Guest. Apart from that, Brigadier NDSP Niwunhella RWP RSP (Chairman - Sri Lanka Army Small Arms Association), Brigadier NR Lamahewage RWP RSP (Centre Commandant - The Gajaba Regiment), Colonel LHM Rajapaksha RWP RSP USP (Deputy Centre Commandant - The Gajaba Regiment) have given the awards to Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up and overall best 3 x shooters.
