ONE MORE COMUNITY PROJECT CONDUCT BY 16 GR

The troops of 16 Battalion the Gajaba Regiment conducted a one more deserving community project on 22 April 2023 in Karuwalagaswewa Tabbowa Purana Rajamaha Viharaya, where 50 deserving expectant mothers were provided with a relief pack of nutrients, clothes and necessary baby items and also necessary school accessories were distributed among school children of low-income families in the area through the generious sponsorship, provided by Mrs Udyani Munasinghe and her group.

The whole event was coordinated by the Commanding Officer 16 GR Maj Dinesh Jayarathne USP psc in consultation with the most venerable buddhist Monk of the Tabbowa Purana Rajamaha Viharaya, Karuwalagaswewa.

At the end of the day’s event, all those who participated for this event were treated with a delicious lunch.
