Brigadier Mahinda Rajapshsa RWP RSP USP Centre Commandant visited 3 GR and 15 (V) GR on 09 June 2020.The Centre Commandant arrival to the 15 (V) GR and warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer Major R M Senavirathne RWP RSP USP and paid a customary guard turn out. The visiting commandant was invited to plant a sapling to mark on his arrival to 15 (V) GR. After, the Commanding Officers briefing Commandant had an opportunity to discussed matters pertaining to admin aspects, operational issues of the battalion, welfare matters of the soldiers. Moreover, commandant emphasised the prevailing situation in the country due the COVID - 19. He not missed to thanks to all troops for their sacrifices and dedicated contribution to eradicated ongoing local and global fight against this deadly virus from the mother Land. Symbolic of the day’s visit significance by an unveiled a plaque and warmly opened a newly constructed Gymnasium and Malicious Stage by the Commandant.
Further, he inspected camp premises and instructed to Commanding Officer to uplifted the infrastructures facilities and standards of the soldier's.
The days climax reached by the visiting 3 GR at Mankulam, on arrival of the Commandant was saluted in a Drive - Pass Guard by the troops of 3 GR, before he was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer Major R M Ambagahaduwa RSP psc. Further, Commandant planted a sapling to mark on his arrival to 3 GR. After, he was briefed by the Commanding Officer and then he instructed to improve more facilities and standards of the battalion. More over, Commandant visited the camp premises and gave valuable ideas to uplifted of the battalion. Later, he was spelt out to the troops on ongoing Local and Global fight against this deadly Virus.
Lastly, Commandant and staff officers of the Regimental Centre participated for a group photograph. The days programmes were conducted adhering to health safety guidance and social distancing practices
