The series of events organized as per the guidelines given by Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army, Colonel of the Regiment of Gajaba Regiment and Special Forces Regiment, General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil on account of 29th death anniversary of late Major General Vijaya Wimalaratne RWP RSP VSV USP psc and the fellow military veteran Colonel Y M Palipana was culminated with the religious event of offering of Astapana Pooja held at most sacred Ruwanwelisaya at the dusk on 08 August 2021.This event was also attended by the Centre Commandant of the Gajaba Regiment Brigadier Dinesh Udugama RWP RSP USP psc and a few Staff Officers along with some members of the Regimental Staff.
Furthermore, all these events were held strictly adhering to the Covid 19 preventive health guidelines issued by the health authorities and the respective Headquarters.
