Lt Col WNMS Danasiri appointed as the 12th Commanding Officer of 7th Battalion the Gajaba Regiment on 04 June 2025 at the battalion headquarters in Madampe.
On arrival, the newly appointed Commanding Officer was accorded a Guard Turnout, He officially assumed duties at the auspicious time by signing an official document amidst religious blessings. To mark this special occasion, he planted a sapling at the camp premises and delivered a formal troops address. Later, he attended the all-ranks tea party and engaged in a cordial interaction with the gathered troop.
Colonel of the Regiment, Regimental Council Members, Senior Officers, Centre Commandant and all Staff Officers of the Regimental Centre extend their best wishes for his new appointment and all the success in his future endeavours.
