Major Kapila Dharmadasa RWP RSP GR assumed office as the 9th Commanding Officer of the 15th Battalion the Gajaba Regiment on 05 May 2023.
A formal ceremony with a Guard Turnout, saluted the Commanding Officer on his arrival to the Battalion Headquarters located in Kodikamam Jaffna and he assumed duties at the auspicious time by signing an official document amidst religious blessings.
After a while the Commanding Officer planted a sapling at the camp premises to mark this special occasion and that was followed by the formal troops address and all rank tea.
Commander of the Army and Colonel of the Regiment, Regimental Council Members, Senior Officers, Centre Commandant and all Staff Officers of the Regimental Centre extend their best wishes for his new appointment and his future endeavors.
