NEWLY APPOINTED COMMANDING OFFICER OF THE 12TH BATTALION, THE GAJABA REGIMENT ASSUMED OFFICE

Major K H D S Kudahitige RWP RSP psc was assumed office as the 11th Commanding Officer of the 12th Battalion, the Gajaba Regiment on 16 June 2025 at the Battalion Headquarters in Palatupana, Yala.

Upon his arrival, the newly appointed Commanding Officer was accorded a Guard Turnout. He officially assumed duties at the auspicious time by signing the official documents amidst religious blessings. To mark this significant occasion, he planted a sapling within the camp premises and delivered a formal address to the troops. Subsequently, he participated in the all ranks tea and engaged in cordial interactions with under command troops.

The Colonel of the Regiment, Regimental Council Members, Senior Officers, Centre Commandant and all Staff Officers of the Regimental Centre extend their heartfelt congratulations on his new appointment and wish him every success in all future endeavours.
