MAJOR GENERAL CHRISTY JAYASINGHE WAS HONOURED IN A FAREWELL SALUTE AT THE HOME OF GAJABA

The Gajaba Regimental Centre hosted a colorful farewell parade to one of its proud sons Major General Cristy Jayasighe KSV KSP the former Deputy Commandant Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force on 12 February 2022. He took the Farewell Salute at the Home of Gajaba after a distinguished career spanning more than 35 years.

The day’s ceremony was commenced with a customary Guard Turn out followed by a colorful parade accorded in his respect. It was organized under the guidance of Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army and Colonel of the Regiment of Gajaba Regiment, Gen Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil.

Members of the Regimental Council, Centre Commandant, Deputy Centre Commandant, Senior Officers, Staff Officers, Commanding Officers and Other members of the Regimental Headquarters were present at this ceremony.
