Gajaba Regiment rugby players displayed indomitable teamwork to win the first match of Army Inter Regiment Rugby Tournament 2023 by securing the victory against Crops of Sri Lanka Engineers during the first round held at SLAGSC ground in Panagoda.
In the first half, Ketterians comfortably enhanced the lead, signaling what would follow in the end. Although opposite players gradually posed stiff resistance to their rivals in a determined manner, Gajaba players sustained a formidable resistance and dominated the game scoring 37 - 0 win.
Major General Chandana Wikramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Director General General Staff and few Senior Officers of the gajaba family extended their warm greetings to the team members at the play ground.
Second match of the first round will be played on 19 June 2023 against Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police.
