Islamic Prayers, Blessings on 40th Gajaba Anniversary

Deputy Commandant, Staff Officers of the Regimental Centre and few Other Rankers, headed by Centre Commandant Brigadier Wishwajith Vidyananda RWP RSP USP assembled at Mohedeen Jumma Mosque at Anuradhapura at the late hours on Wednesday (4) joined a special Islamic prayer session to bless the forthcoming 40th Anniversary of the Gajaba Regiment as an another segment of multi-religious anniversary observances.

The customary Islamic religious sermon, ‘Bayan’ then invoked blessings symbolically on Regimental flag and the Units flags, lauding its services, A M Kayume Moulavi, Chief Moulavi of Mohedeen Jumma Mosque conducted the special chanting, ‘Qirath’ prayers and afterwards performed the wishful prayers, according to the sequence of Islamic invocation.
