Inter - Battalion Swimming Competition - 2023 Held at the RHQ GR

The Gajaba Regiment Inter-Battalion Swimming Competition-2023 organized by Sport Section of the Gajaba Regiment was held at the Regimental Centre swimming pool on 12 & 13 May 2023 under the guidance of Commander of the Army and Colonel of the Regiment Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu and with the close supervision of Centre Commandant Brigadier Wishvajith Vidyananda RWP RSP USP.

The finals of the event and the prize-awarding ceremony were held on (13) Saturday at Gajaba Regiment swimming complex.

The Two-day long tournament competed by 65 swimmers from 17 Battalions under 5 categories. 2(V) Battalion the Gajaba Regiment became the Champions after thrilling fight with the 22 Battalion Gajaba Regiment which became the Runner up of the tournament while S/490407 Kumara PHRD -14 GR awarded as the best swimmer of the competition.

The Deputy Centre Commandant Colonel Roshan Kalupahana RSP USP, Senior Officers, Commanding Officer 22 GR, all Staff Officers and a gathering of Other Ranks of the Regimental Centre participated in the event.
