With collaboration of 35 Anniversary of the Gajaba Regiment conducted Inter Battalion Drill Competition on March 2018. The prize giving ceremony of competition was held at the indoor Gymnasium Regimental Centre, Gajaba Regiment on 26 March 2018. GOC of the 61 Division Maj Gen DMS Dissanayake WWV RWP RSP USP ndu grace the occasion as chief guest and 20th Battalion the Gajaba Regiment became the champions of the competition.
The trophy for the best Platoon Commander awarded to Capt, WACPM Perera 12th Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment. Further Sgt Senarathne YB (20 GR) won the first place for pace stick drill team.
Simultaneously, the Gajaba Regimental Centre conducted an eight-month period of Bugle course from July 2017 to March 2018 which was held for the sldrs of the Gajaba Regiment and awarded prizes and certificates. The overlooking Commandant Col LHM Rajapakshe RWP RSP USP, staff officers of Regimental Centre, Battalion Commanding Officers, Second in Commands, several officers, Regimental Sergeant Major and ORs participated for the event.
