A felicitation ceremony was held at the Regimental Headquarters to welcome the prizewinning Keterians who became the Overall champions in the 4th Inter Regiment 2-Mile Open Water Swimming Championship 2024 in which, Ketterian swimmers braved the blue waters in an exciting display of perseverance and resolve and demonstrated the strength and physical capability.
On their arrival to the Regimental main entrance, they were warm heartedly welcome by Centre Commandant Brigadier Aruna Wijekoon USP ndc together with Staff Officers and members of the Regimental Headquarters on Monday (19).
Later, they were ushered to the Gajaba Regimental swimming pool premises amidst performance of traditional dancers, where arrangements had been set for the felicitation event.
Centre Commandant extended best wishes and congratulations to the members of Gajaba Regimental swiming team on behalf of Commander of the Army and Colonel of the Regiment Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Council members and all Officers and Men of Gajaba Regiment.
The day’s event was culminated with a cordial interaction with the team members and Regimental Staff at the special tea party arranged for the wining team.
