The Gajaba Regiment Celebrated its 31st Anniversary
The Gajaba Regiment proudly celebrated its 31st Anniversary on 14th October 2014; series of multi religious observances took place to bless Regimental Flag and transforming merits to all fallen war heroes.
On 13th October, The Gajaba War heroes commemorating Ceremony was held with the presence of Major General Lalith Daulagala RSP USP ndu, Colonel of the Regiment of Gajaba Regiment in the accompany of Mrs Sandamali Daulagala, paying floral tribute at the Gajaba Monument. Senior officers and next of kin of valiant war heroes were also participated at the event. Subsequently Pirith chanting and Heel Danaya pinkama took place at Gajaba Gymnasium.
On 14th October 2014, a Guard Turn-out followed by a ceremonial parade, with Regimental Colours presented to the Colonel of the Regiment at Regimental Parade ground. To conclude the Regimental Day program, an all rank lunch headed by the Col of the Regt took place at the OR’s Mess at Regimental Headquarters.
