Gajaba Flags were Blessed in a Aashirwada Pooja

Following the symbolic Flag Blessing Ceremony held at sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya at early hours of the day on Wednesday (4) ‘the Holy Aashirwada Pooja in accordance with Hindu traditions was held on the same day at Kadireshan Kovil, Anuradhapura for invoking blessings for the upcoming 40th Anniversary of the Gajaba Regiment.

Priests Chief Kurukkal led by the performed the Pooja which was comprised of offering of fruits preparation of Jaggery milk rice etc. Regimental Flag and all Unit Flags were symbolically blessed after taking them into the inner chamber of the Kovil, amidst religious rites and rituals. Centre Commandant Brigadier Wishwajith Vidyananda RWP RSP USP, Deputy Commandant, Staff Officers of Regimental Centre and gathering of Other Rankers attended Holly event.
