On account of the forthcoming 40 Anniversary of the Gajaba Regiment, as the first segment of the multi- religious observances, a symbolic flag blessing ceremony to invoke blessings to the Regimental Flags and Unit Flags, was held in a colourful ceremony at the sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya on Wednesday (4) under the direction of Commander of the Army and Colonel of the Regiment, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, amidst the reverberating rhythmic beats of traditional and auspicious drums, ‘Hevisi with the participation of Centre Commandant Brigadier Wishwajith Vidyananda RWP RSP USP, Deputy Centre Commandant along with a gathering of Staff Officers and Other Ranks of the Regimental Centre.
