Maj Gen DMWWWRBM Daulagala RSP was honoured with a Guard Turnout and Guard of Honour on his promotion on 20 July 2018 at Home of Gajaba, Saliyapura.
The newly promoted Major General warmly welcomed by the Officiating Centre Commandant Colonel WHKS Peiris RWP RSP USP on behalf of the Colonel of the Regiment, all Officers and Other Ranks of the Gajaba Regiment.
A guard turout at the main gate greeted him and thereafter Maj Gen BhathiyaDaulagala paid his respect to the Father of the Gajaba Regiment late Maj Gen Vijaya Wimalarathne by placing a floral wreath at his statue.
Then he took salute at the Guard of Honour in conformity with with the military traditions.
The day's programme was concluded with all ranks tea party at the Men's Club. Regimental Council Members, the Centre Commandant, Deputy Centre Commandant, Senior Officers, Commanding Officers and several others officers and other ranks were present at the ceremony.
