A DELUXE HERITAGE VILLA AT THE HOME OF GAJABA OPENED BY THE ARMY CHIEF OF STAFF

A new heritage villa (KINGKETERIAN), erected facing a tank in Siyapura, Home of Gajaba for the use of Officers and Other Ranks in the Army/Gajaba Regiment was ceremonially opened by the Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel of the Regiments of the Gajaba Regiment and the Commando Regiment, Major General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc, amidst religious observances on Thursday, 11 April 2019 after a brief ceremony.

The day's Chief Guest was warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant Brig Harendra Peiris RWP RSP USP, on his arrival. Afterwards the Chief Guest symbolically unveiled the plaque and cut the ribbon at newly constructed Heritage Villa.

The construction of this deluxe luxurious heritage villa for all ranks was directed by the Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel of the Regiments of the Gajaba Regiment and the Commando Regiment as an extension of welfare measures for all Keterians.

The opening ceremony was attended by the President of the Gajaba Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs Sujeewa Nelson, Regimental Council Members, Centre Commandant Brig Harendra Peiris RWP RSP USP, Deputy Commandant, Commanding Officers, Regimental Staff and several Other Ranks as well.
