Commemoration of Founding Father of the Gajaba Regiment, Late Major General Vijaya Wimalaratne

As per the guidance of Commander of the Army, Colonel of the Regiment of Gajaba Regiment and Sri Lanka National Guard, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu and under the close supervision of the Centre Commandant, Brigadier Wishwajith Vidyananda RWP RSP USP to coincide with the commemorative ceremony organized in connection with the 31st death anniversary of fallen war hero, Major General Vijaya Wimalarathe RWP RSP VSV USP psc, Floral Tribute ceremony was held at the statute of late Major General Vijaya Wimalaratne in Kiribathgoda on Tuesday (08) with the participation of Major General Sanjeewa Fernando RWP RSP ndu, Director General Infantry, Brigadier Rohan Rajapaksha RSP Director Directorate of Welfare and a gathering of Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and beloved son Colonel Hiran Wimalarathne USP and daughter along with a few close relatives of the Legendary Warrior of this iconic regiment.
