With the request made by the National Blood Transfusions Service General Hospital Anuradhapura, a blood donation programme was conducted by the Gajaba Regimental Centre Saliyapura on 16 May 2020,during the programme 200 Keteriyans soldiers were given their blood for the benefit of various patients of Cancer, Kidney, Thalassemia, Chronic diseases, Surgeries, Childbirthsetc. The programme was closely supervised by the Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army and Colonel of the Regiment Gajaba Regiment Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc by understanding the nation requirement in time. The Consultant Hansaka Ramanyake Blood Bank General Hospital Anuradhapura and his Staff were attended for the deserving Programme. Brigadier Mahinda Rajapaksha RWP RSP USP Centre Commandant of the Gajaba Regimental Center, Colonel Nilanga Fernando RSP deputy Center Commandant staff officers and other ranks were present for the event.
