ASSUMING DUTIES AS 7TH COMMANDING OFFICER OF 17TH BATTALION THE GAJABA REGIMENT

Major LAMLW Bandara assumed duties as the 7th Commanding Officer of 17th Battalion the Gajaba Regiment, Thanduvan ODDUSUDAN on 20 February 2023.

A formal ceremony with a Guard Turnout, saluted new Commanding Officer on his arrival and he took over the duties by signing an official document amid religious observances.

The new commanding officer was address to the troops was made along with the assumption of duty. There, he further informed about the future activities of the battalion and how the troops should work in cooperation.

Commander of the Army and Colonel of the Regiment, Regimental Council Members, Regimental Senior Officers, Centre Commandant and all Staff Officers of the Regimental Centre extend their best wishes for his new appointment and his future endeavors.
