500 saplings planted by the Gajaba troops under “Thuru Piri Hetak” programme with the collaboration of Commercial Bank

A tree plantation programme was conducted by the troops of the Regimental Centre and differently able soldiers of the HQBN GR in parallel with the ongoing ‘Thuru Piri Hetak’ programme, afforestation project expected to plant 100,000 saplings across the country launched jointly by Commercial Bank and Army, on Saturday (09) 500 saplings were planed at the both camp premises under the supervision of Centre Commandant, Brigadier Aruna Wijekoon USP ndc.

Staff Officers, Second in Command HQ BN GR, and a gathering of Officers and Other Ranks of the Regimental Centre and HQBN GR made their contribution to the success of this event.
