“GAJABA VIRU SAVIYA SCHOLARSHIP AWARDING PROGRAMME"

A timely Scholarship Awarding Programme was organized and conducted by the Gajaba Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch with the aim of supporting future educational needs of children of Officers, Other Ranks and Civil Staff of the Gajaba Regiment, including those who sacrificed their supreme lives and disabled during operations. Accordingly, it was planned and initiated awarding of 113 scholarships for eligible children.

The event was organized in accordance with the initiatives and leadership of the Colonel of the Regiment Major General U K D D P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc and Chairperson of Gajaba Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs Udari Anupama Gamage. The symbolic scholarship awarding programme was held on 03 January 2026 at the "Home of Gajaba", during which scholarships were awarded to 49 children out of above113.

The Chairperson of the Gajaba Seva Vanitha Branch along with other members, members of the Regimental Council, Centre Commandant, Senior Officers and Officers of the Gajaba Regiment including beloved parents also graced at the occasion.
