NEWLY PROMOTED TWO-STAR GENERAL FELICITATED AT THE HOME OF GAJABA

The Gajaba Regimental Centre hosted a dignified felicitation ceremony on 13 December 2025 at the Home of Gajaba, to honour one of its esteemed Senior Officers, Major General N S S Dias RSP ndu, on his recent promotion to the rank of Major General.

The ceremony commenced with the Senior Officer paying a floral tribute at the War Heroes Monument. Upon his arrival at the main entrance, a Guard Turnout was accorded in his honour. Thereafter, he paid homage to the Founding Father of the Gajaba Regiment, the Late Major General Vijaya Wimalaratne RWP RSP VSV USP psc, by laying a floral tribute as a mark of deep respect and remembrance.

Thereafter, Major General N S S Dias RSP ndu was honoured with a Gaurd of Honour, showcasing the highest military tradition upheld by the Gajaba Regiment. The Senior Officer then proceeded to sign the Visitor's Book, marking the significance of the occasion. Subsequently, the event culminated with a Group Photograph followed by an All Ranks tea held to mark the occasion, signifying growth, legacy and camaraderie.
