3rd Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment Celebrates Its 39th Anniversary

The 3rd Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment celebrated its 39th anniversary on 12 January 2025. Under the leadership of the Commanding Officer, Lt Col Niroshan Weerakkodi RWP RSP psc, the anniversary celebration commenced with multi-religious observances, transferring merits to the fallen war heroes and religious blessings for the battalion's flag, along with its serving and retired members.

On 12 January, the Commanding Officer was honored with a Guard Turnout, followed by a colourful Ceremonial Parade. Further, to commemorate the occasion, the Commanding Officer planted a sapling at the camp premises. Later, an All-Ranks lunch was held, where the Commanding Officer had a cordial interaction with members of the battalion.
