In alignment with the vision of the Colonel of the Regiment, the Keterians Family Gathering 2024 has been meticulously organised to cultivate a spirit of camaraderie and unity among Keterians families. This meaningful event will take place from 13th to 15th December 2024 at the Home of Gajaba, featuring a diverse and engaging programme designed to strengthen bonds and celebrate the shared values of the Keterian community.
This program was unfolded with the Buddhist Rituals at the Temple of RHQ GR, designed to educate families about the traditions and cultural significance of Buddhist practices and also include Tamil Religious Rituals at the Pullayar Kovil, RHQ GR, offering an opportunity for families to learn about Tamil spiritual traditions and their cultural importance. These activities aim to foster awareness and appreciation of the diverse religious and cultural heritage within the Keterian community.
“Sprint to Glory” A dynamic outdoor family interaction session designed to strengthen interpersonal bonds and leadership skills within the Keterian community.
After that Expert-led sessions by distinguished lecturers from the Sri Lanka Police, addressing about life guidelines for adults and Children’s Leadership Skills and Social Engagements for younger participants.
“Keterians Christmas Eve”, which took place on the evening of December 14th. This was followed by an inspiring Christmas message and prayer led by the Vice Principal of St. Joseph’s College, Rev. Father Demian Perera. The evening also included a special carol session, blending the church choir and members of the Keterians, to help families learn about Christian traditions and cultural activities.
A truly magical moment unfolded with the arrival of Santa, bringing immense joy to the children and enhancing the festive atmosphere. It was an evening filled with joy, laughter, and togetherness, perfectly capturing the spirit of the season.
On 15th December, a special Sewa Vanitha gathering was held with all committee members to discuss plans for the Regiment's community. After the meeting, there was a heartwarming show of support for the Civil Servants. Thanks to the collaboration between the Sewa Vanitha branch and the Ariyarathne Foundation, stationeries and clothes were given to the Civil Servants as a way to appreciate their hard work. The event truly showed the unity and spirit of the Regiment.
