Newly Promoted Two-Star Generals Felicitated at the Home of Gajaba

The Gajaba Regimental Centre hosted a vibrant felicitation ceremony on 7 February 2025 at the Home of Gajaba, honouring its four distinguished Keterians who were recently promoted to the rank of Major General. They are Major General M. N. Fernando RSP, Major General H. P. I. Perera RWP RSP, Major General M. K. L. A. De Silva RSP USP nps psc and Major General W. A. U. S. Wanasekara RWP USP.

The ceremony commenced with a Guard Turnout for the newly promoted Major Generals upon their arrival at the main entrance. Following this, they paid floral tribute to the Founding Father of the Gajaba Regiment, Major General Vijaya Wimalarathne RWP RSP VSV USP psc.

Thereafter, the newly promoted senior officers were honoured with a Guard of Honour, showcasing the highest military traditions upheld by the Gajaba Regiment. The event concluded with an All Ranks tea, where the senior officers engaged in friendly conversations, fostering camaraderie among all present.
