NEWLY APPOINTED COMMANDING OFFICER OF THE 11TH BATTALION THE GAJABA REGIMENT ASSUMES OFFICE

Major B M A G S S B Basnayake RWP RSP assumed office as the 13th Commanding Officer of 11th Battalion the Gajaba Regiment on 18 February 2025 at the battalion headquarters in Mulankavil.

On arrival, the newly appointed Commanding Officer was accorded with a Guard Turnout, followed by a ceremonial parade. He officially assumed duties at the auspicious time by signing an official document amidst religious blessings. To mark this special occasion he planted a sapling at the camp premises and delivered a formal troops address. Later he attended the all ranks tea party, where he had a cordial interaction with gathering of troops.

Colonel of the Regiment, Regimental Council Members, Senior Officers, Centre Commandant and all Staff Officers of the Regimental Centre extend their best wishes for his new appointment and all the success in his future endeavours.
