Brigadier Roshan Kalupahana RSP USP assumed office as the 28th Centre Commandant of the prestigious Gajaba Regiment on Monday 03 March 2025.
Upon his arrival at the main entrance greeted him with a 'Guard Turnout' and that followed by placing a floral wreath at the statue of the Founding Father of Gajaba Regiment, late Maj Gen Vijaya Wimalaratne. After while, the Centre Commandant put his signature on an official document amidst religious blessings signifying the acceptance of new office as the Centre Commandant.
There after he posed for a photograph with all officers who were present on the occasion and later he was invited to plant a Na Sapling in order to mark this significant occasion.
The day's event culminated following an all rank tea held at Other Ranks’ Mess where the incoming Centre Commandant had a cordial interaction with all those who were present at the occasion. Deputy Centre Commandant, Senior Officers, Regimental Staff Officers, Commanding Officers, gethering of Officers and Other Ranks were present at the event.
