Gajaba Seva Vanitha New Year Fair Successfully Conducted at Saliyapura

Gajaba Seva Vanitha New Year Fair - 2024 was successfully held at the Gajaba Regimental Centre Premises Saliyapura for a period of three days from 9 to 11 April & it was organised under the direction of Colonel of the Regiment, Major General Harendra Pieris & Mrs Dilupa Pieris, President of Gajaba Seva Vanitha Branch.

Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage took time off to attend the final day of the event as the Chief Guest, together with Mrs Janaki Liyanage, President Army Seva Vanitha Unit.

Gajaba Seva Vanitha Fair was organised with array of events; Dog Show by Commando K9 Unit, Exhibiting of Motorcycle Stunts by a team of Corps of Military Police, Band Display, Air Rifle Shooting, & Live Musical Shows featuring renowned vocalists.

A large number of civilians in and around the area and the military personnel got the opportunity to purchase their household requirements prior to the New Year at concessionary rates from the fair. Further, the musical events with performance of dancing troupers at every evening made the crowd entertained.
