In line with the celebration of the Gajaba Regiment's 41st anniversary, a Pirith Chanting and Almsgiving Ceremony was held with the participation of large gathering officers men and close relatives of fallen war heroes. The event began in the night of October 13th with the sacred Pirith chanting. This traditional Buddhist ritual filled the atmosphere with peace and spiritual energy, offering blessings to the officers and the soldiers of the Gajaba Regiment. The ceremony fostered a strong sense of unity and reflection among the regiment’s members, highlighting the deep cultural and spiritual ties within the group. This event graced by the Commander of the Army as well.
The following morning, October 14th, the alms-giving ceremony took place. The Colonel of the Regiment, Regimental Council members, senior officers, and their families along with NOKs of fallen war heroes participated in offering food and essentials to the monks as a gesture of tribute and respect. The event marked the regiment’s anniversary, blending tradition, community and reflection in a fignified way.
