The programme was conducted with the blessings of the Commander of the Army and under the guidance of Major General U K D D P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc, Commander Security Forces (West) and Colonel of the Regiment of the Gajaba Regiment, with the close supervision of the Centre Commandant. A total of 43 inpatients of the Maharagama Apeksha Hospital, together with their parents, relatives, and friends, took part in this noble event.
The itinerary, held on 23rd and 24th August, included religious observances at the sacred Ruwanwelisaya and worship at the Anuradhapura Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi. The programme was fully coordinated by Mrs. Udari Anupama Gamage, President of the Gajaba Seva Vanitha Branch, together with branch members, ensuring meticulous arrangements and welfare throughout the conduct of the event. In addition, an evening entertainment session on 24th August was organized for the children, further enhancing the spiritual and humanitarian value of this meritorious undertaking.
