Felicitation Ceremony for Keterian Sports Achievements

The Felicitation Ceremony for the Keterian sportsmen was held on 27 October 2024 at the regimental headquarters. It brought together council members, senior officers, commanding officers, and our dedicated sports teams representing various disciplines within the army.

The event was honored by the presence of Major General MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) and Colonel of the Regiment of the Gajaba Regiment, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The ceremony commenced with the arrival of our esteemed guests, followed by the stirring Gajaba song and a respectful two-minute silence in memory of our fallen heroes. An introductory video then set the stage, showcasing the spirit and achievements of our athletes.

The Awards Ceremony took place in two segments, recognizing the commitment and effort of our athletes and their coaches. Each part included group photographs to commemorate these moments.

Adding to the celebration, a welcome dance and cultural performance highlighted the heritage and unity of the Keterian family. This was followed by an inspiring keynote address from the Colonel of the Regiment, concluding with an interactive session to reflect on our motto, “Unity is Strength.”
