CORNERSTONE FOR THE PROPOSED GAJABA REGIMENT MUSEUM AND AUDITORIUM WAS LAID BY THE ARMY CHIEF

On Thursday (11 April), the Gajaba Regiment commenced one more project with the laying of Cornerstone for the construction of Regimental Museum and Auditorium in its premises by the Army Chief and Senior Officers of the Gajaba Regiment.

The Army Chief was warmly received by Major General W.H.K.S Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndu , Chief of Staff and Colonel of the Regiment of the GajabaRegimenton his arrival to the location.

After a while, Commander of the Army Lieutenant General VikumLiyanage RWP RSP ndu, Major General W.H.K.S Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndu, Chief of Staff and Colonel of the Regiment of Gajaba Regiment , Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndupsc, the Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna, Major General S.B Amunugama RWP RSP ndu, the Commander, 1 Corps, Major General U.K.D.D.P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndcpsc, the Commandant of Army War College and Brigadier W.M.A.B Wijekoon USP ndc, the Centre Commandant of Gajaba Regiment laid cornerstones amidst the blessings of Members of Maha Sangha.

The Gajaba Regiment Museum and Auditorium project represents a collective endeavor to honor the sacrifices and bravery of Ketterians. It will serve as a testament to the enduring spirit of the Gajaba regiment and its enduring legacy in shaping the Gajaba history and identity. The museum and auditorium, once completed, will serve as a hub for education, remembrance, and cultural activities, offering a platform to honor the regiment's contributions to national security and peacekeeping efforts and many more.
