The Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel of the Regiment of the Gajaba Regiment, Major General Chandana Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, paid an official visit to the Home of Gajaba on 23rd January 2025, after assuming office as Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army.
During his visit, he hosted the farewell formalities for the retiring Brigadier Janaka Rathnayake RSP, acknowledging his dedicated service and invaluable contributions to the Gajaba Regiment.
Simultaneously, Major General Chandana Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc hosted a series of events, engaging with the Keterian family. He addressed Gajaba Regiment officers at the multifunction hall, emphasizing Fighting Power through career development, discipline and preparedness for future challenges. The events concluded with the Scholarship Programme organized by the Gajaba, Seva Vanitha Branch, during which 133 students from Keterian families were awarded scholarships to support their future education. This initiative reflected the regiment's continued commitment to the welfare and academic growth of its members' families.
