The Divisional Commander’s Challenging Trophy Tournament, organized by the 53 Infantry Division, took place from 12th to 15th December 2024 at the Division Headquarters, featuring 15 teams in an intense competition.
The 3rd Battalion Gajaba Regiment claimed the championship with a 5 to 3 victory in the final on 15th December 2024. Notable individual awards went to S/488436 Infmn Kapugamage DR as the All-Round Player and S/487241 Infmn Wagwattage as the Best Ball Lifter.
The event was graced by Major General KMMS Wickramaratne RSP, Commander of the 53 Infantry Division, as the Chief Guest, alongside senior officers. The tournament celebrated sportsmanship and excellence.
