15th COLONEL OF THE REGIMENT OF GAJABA REGIMENT ASSUMES OFFICE

The proud legacy of Keterian leadership in the Army continues as Major General U K D D P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc gracefully assumed duties as the 15th Colonel of the Regiment of the esteemed Gajaba Regiment on 26 June 2025, at the Gajaba Regimental Centre.

The newly appointed Colonel of the Regiment of the Gajaba Regiment was warmly received at the Regimental Headquarters with a vibrant Guard Turnout at the Main Entrance. A floral tribute was also placed to the Founding Father of the Gajaba Regiment by laying a floral wreath at his statue. Following this, he received the salute of the military parade and expressed heartfelt gratitude to all who supported him and contributed to the Regiment’s excellence. After that officially assumed duties by signing the formal document at the auspicious time amidst religious blessings. The day’s proceedings were further enriched by a group photograph, symbolic sapling planting, an All Ranks tea, and finally address to the officers at the Officers’ Mess.
