Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) on Saturday 05th September 2020 in a fitting goodbye ceremony at the Regimental Centre in Ambepussa farewell one of its exemplary Senior Officers, Major General Jayantha Seneviratne, Colonel of the Regiment, SLSR and Commander Security Force (West) retired from the Army after a distinguished career of more than 35 years of service.

Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment bade farewell to its former Colonel of the Regiment Major General Manoj Mudannayke and its senior officer Major General Laksiri Waduge in view of their retirement after completion of over 35 years of successful service in the Sri Lanka Army. The traditional event unfolded on 15 August 2020 at Regimental Centre, Ambepussa with the participation of a limited number of senior officers, distinguish guest, officers and other ranks due to Government rules and regulations over Covid-19 pandemic situation.

Under the guidance of Commander 571 Brigade and with the close supervision of the Commanding Officer 1 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment organized a lecture on ‘Prevention of Dangerous Drugs’ delivered by Mr. A M T S B Aththanayake, an Investigation Officer of Excise Department-Trincomalee for the troops of 1 SLSR on 24th July 2020 at the Battalion Headquarters’ lecture hall.

Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) on Sunday (19) July 20 in a fitting military ceremony bade farewell to one of its Senior Officers, retiring Major General Deepthi Jayathilaka after an exemplary service of more than 35 years in the Regular Force of the Sri Lanka Army.
