Sri Lanka Armoured Corps will celebrate its 62nd anniversary on 15th Dec 2017. Prior to this event, multi religious ceremonies were held in order to invoke blessings on the Regiment, Religious activities were commenced with the whole night Pirith Chanting held on 29th November 2017 followed by an alms giving (Dhanaya) on 30 November at Rock House. Christian Mass was held at St. Andrew's Church at Modara on 01st Dec 2017. Afterwards, Hindu and Muslim religious ceremonies were held at Sri Venkateshwarar Kovil at Modara and Al Jumma Mosque at Mutwal respectively on 04th Dec 2017.

Sri Lanka Armoured Corps organized a commemoration ceremony on 05 December 2017 to pay tribute to the fallen Armour war heroes. The commemoration ceremony was held at Armour War Heroes Monument located at the Armoured Corps Training Centre, Kalattewa, Anuradhapura. It is a noble and remarkable event organized by the Regiment in each year as a tradition prior to the Corps Day with participation of family members of fallen war heroes of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps.

A Tree planting campaign was held on 06 December 2017 in all Armoured Corps bases in the country. This campaign was launched based on an idea of Major General Sathyapriya Liyanage WWV RWP ndc psc, Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps to educate troops on their responsibilities towards environment.
The programmed was commenced at 1010 hours participating Officers and Other Ranks of respective units including the Government Servants from various Departments. Large numbers of plants in different species were planted at the auspicious hours.

Lieutenant General Denzil Kobbekaduwa, one of the finest warriors ever produced by the Army and Sri Lanka Armoured Corps in our contemporary history fell silent on August 8, 1992. The 24th death anniversary of the legendary war hero, Lieutenant General Denzil Kobbekaduwa RWP RSP VSV USP rcds psc Sri Lanka Armoured Corps was held at Armour War Heores Monument Park at Kalattawa on 8 August fell on 08th August 2016 with the presence of the late Lieutenant Generals lady Mrs Laly Kobbekaduwa as the Chief Guest. Major General Milinda Peiris, the Chief of Staff of the Army and the Colonel Command of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps graced the occasion.
