The Sri Lanka Armoured Corps formally bade farewell to Major General M W A R C Wijesuriya RSP USP ndc, who retired from active service on 18 November 2025 after a notable period of distinguished service. The ceremony, held at the Home of Armour, commenced with a Guard Turnout followed by a Guard of Honour in keeping with military tradition.
Following the parade, Major General Ruwan Wijesuriya addressed all ranks, expressing his gratitude to the Regiment and reflecting on his years of service. Thereafter, an All Ranks Tea was held, during which Officers and soldiers extended their good wishes to the retiring Senior Officer.
The day’s programme concluded with a Dinner Night at the Officers’ Mess, attended by Senior Officers, Officers, and their spouses. The Corps extended its sincere appreciation and conveyed best wishes to him and his family for the future.
