Under the guidance of the Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAC-SVB), Mrs. Sumangali Pathiravithana, members of the SLAC-SVB visited the war heroes residing at Mihindu Seth Medura, Aththidiya, on 1 November 2025.
The event commenced with a warm welcome extended by the resident war heroes. SLAC-SVB members then visited the wards to observe and identify the needs of the wellness resort. To bring some joy and variety to the residents’ daily routine, an entertainment session was organized featuring the SLAC beat band “Cavelians.” The inmates were also treated to lunch and fruit platters, making it a memorable and heart-warming day for everyone.
As part of their contribution, the SLAC-SVB donated CFL bulbs worth Rs. 50,000 for use at the wellness resort. In addition, school bags with books and stationery were presented to the residents who have school-going children, demonstrating a thoughtful gesture reflecting the organization’s ongoing commitment to improving the well-being of the Mihindu Seth Medura residents.
The event was attended by senior committee members and team leaders, reaffirming the SLAC-SVB’s dedication to supporting and caring for the nation’s war heroes.
