Sri Lanka Armoured Corps on the verge of maturing into its 69 years, refreshed the memories of invaluable sacrifices of War Heroes in a solemn, yet dignified commemorative ceremony on 29 November in the afternoon at War Heroes Monument - Kalattewa, Anuradhapura.
Major General MS Devapriya USP ndc, Quarter Master General, Army Headquarters and the Colonel Commandant - SLAC graced the event as the Chief Guest.
At the outset, Colonel Commandant was welcomed by Commander Armoured Brigade & Centre Commandant. Later, the Chief Guest, flanked by several SLAC Senior Officers, Regimental Sergent Majors and family members of fallen war heroes laid floral wreaths and saluted the War Heroes who sacrificed their precious lives in order to restore peace and harmony in the country.
