CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW HOUSE FOR A LOW-INCOME FAMILY IN BAKMEEGAMA IN LINE WITH THE 75TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ARMY INITIATED BY SLAC

A foundation laying ceremony for a new house in Bakmeegama, Gomarankadawala, for a low-income family was held on 22 May 2024, with religious rituals, in alignment with the vision of Maj Gen P A M Peiris RSP psc, the General Officer Commanding 22 Infantry Division and with a financial contribution from Mr. Drew Perera.

This meritorious construction of the house to a needy family is one of the projects undertaken by the RHQ Sri Lanka Armoured Corps in line with the 75th Anniversary of the Army.

The General Officer Commanding 22 Infantry Division graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, and with the presence of Commander 223 Infantry Brigade, Assistant Divisional Secretary and many other government officials.
