In a heartwarming event held at the Rock House camp's auditorium on 02 February 2024, the Regimental Centre SLAC, under the dedicated leadership of Mrs. Samangka Fernando, the President of the Armour Ladies Club, orchestrated a thoughtful initiative to distribute books and stationary items to the children of both the Regimental Staff and Civil Staff.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Brigadier A P C R Prematilaka RSP USP ndc, the Centre Commandant SLAC, and Mrs. Thalatha Prematilaka, adding a touch of distinction as the Chief Guests. The event drew attendance from several ladies, Senior Officers, Officers, and children, accompanied by their parents, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and shared appreciation for the significance of education.
The gesture aimed to foster a love for learning among the younger members of the SLAC, emphasizing the importance of education and the commitment of the Regimental Centre to the well-being and development of its extended Cavalry family.
