In line with the annual School Books Donation programme organized by the Armour Ladies Club, the 1st Reconnaissance Regiment initiated the Book Distribution on 13 January 2024, at Rock House Camp.
Guided by Mrs. Samangka Fernando, the President of the Armour Ladies Club, the initiative unfolded, bringing the gift of education to 404 school children, including other ranks and civilian staff belonging to 1 SLAC.
The distribution process was successfully launched under the supervision and presence of Mrs. Ayesha Paragahathanthree, the Team Leader of 1 SLAC, accompanied by Mrs. Anusha Senevirathne, Mrs. Ayesha Jayathunga, Mrs. Isuri Keshani, and Mrs. Sachini Senarathne, adding a touch of grace to the occasion.
