5th Reconnaissance Regiment celebrated the 30th Anniversary with pride on 6th January 2024, at Ironside Camp, Pangolla.
On the anniversary day, Lieutenant Colonel A K Gamage psc, The Commanding Officer of 5 Reconnaissance Regiment graced the Anniversary Day events as the Chief Guest. A guard turnout and a colorful parade were reviewed by the Chief Guest. This was followed by planting a sapling to signify the day. A tank display and briefing was conducted to all the family members of soldiers who came to witness the parade.The programme terminated with an all-ranks get-together along with their family members, civil staff, retired SNCOs and NCOs followed by lunch.
