68TH ANNIVERSARY OFFICERS’ GET-TOGETHER OF THE SLAC

The Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Armoured Corps hosted the 68th Anniversary Officers’ Get-together at Cavalry Mess, Rock House camp on 22 December 2023. Major General S W M Fernando WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc, Military Secretary and the Colonel Commandant SLAC graced the event as the Chief Guest. Both retired and serving, Senior Officers and Officers along with their spouses participated in this gathering and shared many happy moments amidst various entertaining sessions making it more colourful and memorable.

During the event, newly wedded couples were welcomed by newly joined Young Officers of the corps. A token of appreciation was presented by the Colonel Commandant to a recently retired Officer in recognition of his invaluable service rendered during his tenure. The giving away of prizes for the winners of the array of entertaining events and a raffle draw were made by the President of Armour Ladies Mrs. Samangka Fernando and few Senior Officers.
