In parallel with the series of religious programmes held in view of the 68th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, a special Hindu 'Pooja' was conducted at the Sri Venkateshwar Kovil, Mutwal on 08 December 2023 and the event was presided by, the Military Secretary and the Colonel Commandant of SLAC, Maj Gen S W M Fernando WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc together with the presence of Centre Commandant SLAC, Commander Armoured Brigade, Senior Officers/Officers and Other Ranks.
During the Pooja held in compliance with Hindu traditions, religious rituals were performed by the Venerable Kurukkal and merits were transferred on fallen War Heroes, Veterans and blessings were invoked on disabled War Heroes, serving and retired personnel and their family members and the Corps for its 68th Anniversary.
