Major General W W H R R V M N D K B Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc assumed duties as the 17th Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps amid religious blessings at the Regimental Centre on Thursday, 21 August 2023.

Newly appointed Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by Colonel M K S S De Silva, the Centre Commandant and honoured with a guard turnout and Parade followed by offering floral tribute to the Regimental War Heroes’ monument. Later, Major General W W H R R V M N D K B Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc signed a formal document & marked the assumption of his new office with the aspirations of all religions, at the presence of council members, Senior Officers and Regimental Staff at the RHQ SLAGSC.
